Family Dentistry at Crestmont Dental

We genuinely love kids — and we love even more when they grow up without a fear of the dentist.

At Crestmont Dental, we welcome patients of all ages, from the eruption of a child’s first tooth through to grandparents maintaining their smile for life. Our approach is the same for every patient: unhurried, educational, and kind.

When Should My Child First See a Dentist?

The Canadian Dental Association recommends a child’s first dental visit within six months of their first tooth erupting, or by their first birthday — whichever comes first. Early visits help:

  • Establish healthy habits before problems start
  • Identify any developmental concerns early
  • Build a comfortable relationship with the dental chair before anxiety has a chance to form
  • Give parents practical guidance on diet, brushing, and fluoride

What We Offer for Families

  • Complete oral exams for all ages
  • Professional cleaning and hygiene appointments
  • Digital X-rays (up to 90% less radiation than traditional)
  • Fluoride treatments and fissure sealants
  • Mouthguards for sports
  • Orthodontic referrals and Invisalign for teens and adults
  • Frenectomies (lip and tongue ties) for infants and children

The Canada Dental Care Plan

Crestmont Dental accepts the Canada Dental Care Plan (CDCP) for eligible patients. If your family qualifies, we can help you navigate your coverage and ensure you get the care you’re entitled to. Learn more about the CDCP.
