Crestmont Dental accepts the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) for eligible patients. Below is a practical overview of how the program works and what to expect when you book with us.
The federal government introduced the CDCP to improve access to dental care for Canadians who meet the program’s eligibility criteria.

Qualification is based on factors such as age and family net income, and the program’s rules can change over time — always confirm your status using the official government resources.
Once your application has been processed, you will receive a welcome package from Sun Life, who administers the CDCP. When you have that information, you can book your appointment with our clinic using our online booking tool or by calling us at 403-300-3330.
The CDCP may not cover the full amount of eligible treatment costs as set out by the Alberta Fee Guide (coverage can vary depending on family net income). We will invoice you for the balance of the cost of treatment as listed in the Alberta Fee Guide that is not covered by the CDCP. If you would like to know in advance how much of your treatment will be covered by the CDCP and how much you will need to pay directly, we recommend calling us before your appointment. We will ask for your member ID number (from your welcome package) so we can help confirm your available coverage and reduce surprises at your visit.
Other Alberta government dental plans may not coordinate with the CDCP. If you are eligible for CDCP and choose to use it, there may be no secondary coverage from another provincial plan. If you receive coverage from a private plan, you may not be eligible for the CDCP at this time.

Some services that require pre-authorization may not be covered at certain points in the program rollout. Pre-authorization rules and covered services can change — confirm current requirements using the official CDCP resources on canada.ca before planning treatment.
