Dental emergencies don’t follow a schedule — which is why we do our best to accommodate same-day emergency appointments whenever possible.

If you’re in pain, don’t wait. Call us at 403-300-3330 and let us know what’s happening. We’ll get you in as quickly as we can.

After hours? Email emergencycrestmontdental@gmail.com and we’ll respond as soon as possible.

What Counts as a Dental Emergency?

Call us immediately if you’re experiencing:

  • Severe tooth pain that isn’t relieved by over-the-counter pain medication
  • A knocked-out or knocked-loose tooth
  • A cracked, chipped, or broken tooth (especially with sharp edges)
  • A lost filling or crown
  • Swelling in the jaw, cheek, or gums
  • A dental abscess (swelling, fever, or a visible pimple on the gum)
  • Uncontrolled bleeding in the mouth following a procedure or injury

What to Do While You Wait

Knocked-out tooth: Pick it up by the crown (not the root), rinse gently with clean water, and either place it back in the socket or keep it in a small container of milk or saliva. Get to us within 30–60 minutes for the best chance of saving it.

Severe pain or swelling: A cold pack on the outside of the cheek can help with swelling. Ibuprofen or acetaminophen can provide temporary relief — but please call us even if the pain subsides, as the underlying issue still needs to be addressed.

Lost crown or filling: Dental wax or a small piece of sugarless gum can temporarily cover the exposed area. Avoid chewing on that side until we see you.
